The best spots

Our favorite spots in town

Where to eat

10Barrel (Pizza)

Known for their beer, 10Barrel doesn’t disappoint. They are renown for the best outdoor ambience and we all agree it’s true. Best pizza? It’s true! if you want amazing wood-fired oven pizza this is the place. With crust to die for and an array of standard and unique offerings it will be hard to choose, but rest assured you’ll leave full and happy.

The "Row" at Tetherow (eclectic)

The Row at Tetherow is a great place to relax with a great wine or beer and watch the many mountains surrounding central Oregon as well as one of the best golf courses in Bend. With indoor or patio seating it offers the best of both worlds and the food is always amazing.

Brother John's (Pub grub)

We’ve never been disappointed with the food or service from Brother John’s. They have two locations in town. One on Bond downtown, and one on Galveston. We prefer the fare at the Galveston location, but both offer great pub food and a long list of local beer selections.

Toomies (Thai)

There are as many Thai restaurants in Bend as brew pubs (if not more). Toomies is our choice as the food is alway good, the service is consistently great, and the prices are out of the 80’s. Best for Lunch, but great for any meal. It is situated downtown near some really cool shops to walk off your meal.

Chi (Chinese)

What we like about Chi is that the food always tastes “fresh”. Many Chinese restaurants feel like the food is drowned in oil and sauce. Chi lets the ingredients work together to create a unique experience. It’s not fast, but it is good, really good.

El Rodeo (mexican)

If you are looking for ultra-authentic cuisine and can name the province where the chili pepper was grown, this place is not for you. If you want delicious food that you can’t stop having just “one more bite”, then you’ll love El Rodeo. And the owner will greet you with a big smile and make sure you are having a great time.

Where to Stay

Tetherow

Perfect location, amazing amenities, and luxurious rooms make Tetherow our choice for the best place to stay (besides James’ house) in Bend. Just outside the city on the way to the mountain.

Loge

If you want to be seconds from the trail and closest to Mt Bachelor, then the Loge is the place to be. Reasonable rates, great rooms, and lots of activities the Loge is a wonderful launching pad for your central Oregon adventures. Click here to get 10% off your reservation!

Best Western Premier at Peppertree

This is the most recent addition to lodging in on the Southwest side of Bend. The rooms are well appointed, the staff is friendly, and of course the location is minutes away from all the activities and an easy roll down the hill to our shop.
